Introduction Objective: • Provide structure and linear connections between planning, budget & assessment • To outline the annual planning process • To hopefully reduce any stress & anxiety surrounding the annual planning process Outcomes: • Participants will be able to use key documents in completion of their unit’s annual planning process • Participants will be able to interpret and explain the Annual Planning & Assessment workbook for their unit

The Importance of Planning • Intentionally connects the activities of a functional unit to the division’s strategic plan & institutional mission • Sets the stage for budget requests • Begin with the End in Mind • Accomplishing primary division goal – Establish learning outcomes & assessment tools for each department

  7. The Importance of Planning My hope for you… 1.) Take the time to involve your staff & students as you plan 2.) Make this a beneficial process for the students you serve 3.)
