  2. Lewis and Clark Lewis and Clark were explorers who traveled the North Western part of the what we know now as the United States of America. The expedition started up the Missouri River in May 1804.The explores then followed the clear water, snake, and Columbia river to the Pacific. Soon after Thomas Jefferson became president he planned an expedition to the Pacific. On there journey they traveled through the Ohio River and through the rocky mountains and to the Pacific.

  4. Lewis Purchases Seaman Lewis and Clark are planning their expedition to explore the territory west of the Mississippi River. This event happened in 1803. Lewis looks for a dog and finds a Newfoundland dog named Seaman. The event was important because Lewis wanted the dog and Seaman really liked Lewis. Seaman could get food for them in the water because he was a great swimmer because he had webbed paws. Seaman was a great help to Lewis. To Map

  5. Squirrels One important event in the story is when Seaman caught a lot of squirrels. This took place in 1803. What happened is that Seaman caught a lot of squirrels to eat. It was an important event to Lewis and Clark’s journey because they had a lot of food to eat. To Map

  6. Reaching the Pacific Ocean • The event took place in 1804 and 1806. They met Sacagawea and she made Lewis and Clark’s journey easier. Without Sacagawea their journey would have been very hard and long. After a long time they finally reached the pacific ocean. To Map
