  3. DEMOGRAPHICS OF EFHS • Elizabeth Forward School District is composed of the Borough of Elizabeth, and the townships of Elizabeth and Forward. Located approximately 35 minutes south of the city of Pittsburgh and has a strong rural presence. • 763 Students • 95% White • 3.5% African American • 1% Multiracial • .5% Hispanic • 13.25% Special Education • 34.6% Economically Disadvantaged • 1.66% Dropout Rate

  4. Background 2012-13: Begin implementation of PBIS Tier 1 Universal 2014-15: Fidelity for Tier 1 Universal 2015-16: Marriage of PBIS and SAP 2016-17: Universal Screener Inquiry 2017-18: Training and first run of Universal Screener, Fidelity across all 3 tiers. 2018-19: Where we are now

Behavioral Health Screening School Based Other Mon Yough Kim Ziegler Mon Yough Tremayne Butler and Armintry Parks Various Providers Mon Yough Jeannette Baur A screening is a confidential individual interview that asks a series of questions designed to identify the strengths, needs and challenges facing the child. The liaison can then recommend the services that, in their professional opinion, would best meet the needs of the student (and family). Behavioral Health Counseling is our most common post-screening recommendation. These are individual, goal-oriented, counseling sessions. They address grades, attendance, behaviors, etc., and may also have the parent(s)/guardian(s) come in for parent meetings as well. Outpatient Counseling, CISP, YAP, OVR Good Steps Program, Alternative Education for Disruptive Youth, Consult with County Human Services Official treatment via insurance and requires clinical diagnosis and treatment goals. Medication may or may not be part of treatment recommendation. Equivalent to seeing a licensed practitioner outside of school. Must have parent permission. Free to families.
