Bylaws Thesis Policy Shift Policy Meeting minutes available to all

  4. EC Business since the ORSAY Meeting Membership • Approved HPS Collaboration membership for student Matt Solt (Stanford) Congratulations to Matt and welcome to HPS! Policy (on hold) • Waiting on finalized JLAB schedule before defining next shift policy • Time now to consider and approve future thesis proposals. Running the Experiment • Named Nathan Baltzell and Matt Graham Co-Leaders of HPS Analysis Group • Requested interim reports from detector subgroups describing upgrades, updated procedures and manuals, and plans for documentation. • Approved plan for HPS Physics Readiness Document

  5. Shifts • No shifts this Fall. All time is devoted to machine development, including multi-hall operations. • Spring Shifts TBDEC will revisit the run plan and shift plan following finalization ofJLAB CEBAF schedule.For now, lobby like hell. Proposed schedule is unworkable. • Questions, discussion, comments?

Present HPS Thesis Proposals • Sho Uemura Searching for Heavy Photons with Separated Decay Vertices-approved • Omar Moreno Searching for Heavy Photons with a Bump Hunt-approved • Holly Vance Heavy Photon Search with Separated Decay Vertices using Ecal-Improved Momentum Resolution-approved • Kyle McCarty Heavy Photon Bump Hunt Enhanced with Recoil Electron Reconstruction-approved • Ani Simonyan Heavy Photon Bump Hunt Enhanced with Ecal-Improved Momentum Resolution-submitted • Luca Colaneri under protracted discussion • Bradley Yale ? • Sebouh Paul just submitted • Matt Solt ?

Thesis Discussion • Theses based on 2015 Engineering Run Data Sho, Omar, Holly, Luca, Ani, Kyle? • Theses to be based on 2016 Physics Run Data Sebouh?, Bradley, Matt? • Proposed topics for 2016? • Remember that thesis student’s advisors must submit a thesis proposal to the EC for consideration and approval.Needed for Bradley, Luca, and Matt.

Next HPS Collaboration Meeting • Next meeting will be at SLAC, April 25-27,2016.We have lots of rooms reserved at the SLAC Guest House,and SLAC finally has a cafeteria once again. • The meeting date was chosen to be just before the Hidden Sectors 2016 Workshop, April 28-30, 2016, also at SLAC.The workshop is the next in the series of Dark Forces Workshops, and will be of interest to HPS collaborators interested in the next round of hidden sector experiments.
