  2. Unison Reading with Angid, Rossy and Daysi Mr. Viderman: Wait let’s stop right there. I’m confused about this word. What are mineralogists? Angid: People who study minerals. Mr. Viderman: So what exactly are minerals? Angid: They make up rocks. Rossy: In Panama, we had to do a project about salt. I know that salt is a mineral.

(Drew arc). Angid: The physical properties of minerals Mr. Viderman: So what are physical properties? Angid: Like what they look like. Mr. Viderman: So what are the physical properties of this pencil?

Also if you cut it in half you would see the shape. • Angid:So physical properties are like the color, shape, and streak of a mineral. • Mr. Viderman: Let’s make sure everyone agrees. • Daysi: Yes, I agree.
