  2. Beliefs • Agnostic • Polytheism • Monotheism • Atheism • Atheism manifests itself in many ways

  3. Professed Atheists • In every age. Not a modern problem • Psalm 14:1; Romans 1:28 • No absurdity so great. All humans must deal with difficult facts/concepts. • Life is unique. Never observed on any other planet. • Life is complex. It begins that way, whether in the Bible or the fossil record. • Life remains basically unchanged. Many “extinct” species, but no “new” ones.

  4. Atheism of the Heart • God excluded from our thoughts and affections. • Even though we “believe” in Him. • Romans 8:7 – not indifference, but total variance. • Rom. 1:28, “refused” • Psalm 10

  5. Practical Atheism • A life without concept of God. Again, even though we “believe” in Him. • W/o the image of God – John 8 – their father was the devil. We should bear the image of God. • Social Darwinism evident here. We act as though we have no conscience. The “fittest” deserve to survive. Those “unfit” should be left to die. • W/o full blessings. Yes, we have rain and sun, but – I John 3:21-22.
