  2. Hyperbole • “and now in a moment, friendship, and a peace of mind, and the whole tenor of his [Dr. Lanyon] life were wrecked” pg. 24 • Dr. Lanyon’s whole entire life, persona, and work is all gone in an instant. It gives a feeling of depression. It has all led up to then plunder.
