  2. Do Now: Value Descriptors • Take out the QNTs you took on “What to a Slave…” and “Anansi”. Read the second and third paragraph of each reading. • Underline the main idea of each paragraph in both readings. • Write a one-word description of the sentence you underlined in both readings.

  3. Objective: • The students will determine and analyze the relationship between two or more central ideas of a text and provide an objective summary of the text in order to create a multimedia presentation.

  4. Review: Google Slides • Google account creation and log in. • Launching Google Sites app. • Theme selection • Slide Creation • Presentation Title • 2-column content: a common value depicted in the first two paragraphs of “What to a Slave…” (African Americans) and the Anansi story (Native Africans) • Quote • Explanation

  5. Focus Lesson: Common Values… • Read the third and fourth paragraphs of each reading. • Underline the one sentence expressing the main ideas of both paragraphs. • Write a one-word description of the value depicted in both paragraphs. • In the lab, create 2 more 2-column content slides from both of the paragraphs • Quote • 5-sentence explanation
