HOME STUDY DEADLINES • YOU HAVE 9 MONTHS TO COMPLETE PART 1 OF THE MEPAP COURSE • YOU HAVE 9 MONTHS TO COMPLETE PART 2 OF THE MEPAP COURSE • SOME PEOPLE DO FINISH IN LESS THAN 9 MONTHS(EACH PART); IT DEPENDS ON HOW YOU PACE YOURSELF

ASSIGNMENTS • ONCE YOU RECEIVE YOUR APPLICATION AND HAVE ENROLLED IN THE COURSE YOU WILL BEGIN THE COURSE • YOU WILL EMAIL ASSIGNMENTS AND/OR SEND ASSIGNMENTS BY REGULAR MAIL. • YOU WILL OBTAIN A PRACTICUM SUPERVISOR WITH IN YOUR FACILITY • I AM IN CONTACT WITH YOU BY PHONE AND OR EMAIL AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

ACTIVITY CONSULTANT SERVICES • Jane Anderson, ACC/MC/AD/EDU, Consultant and Educator has been recertified by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) as Activity Consultant Certified/MC/AD/EDU including the new specialty tracks initiated in January of 2009. Anderson’s Modular Education Programs for Activity Professionals Second Edition (MEPAP) has also been recertified. These courses train people to become activity professionals throughout the United States. • Certification by NCCAP indicates that the person certified has met or exceeded the standards of experience and education requirements set by NCCAP. Further, the specialty tracks emphasis further education and experience in the specialty areas: Memory Care (MC), Adult Day (AD), and Education (EDU). • Anderson is also a CDP-Certified Dementia Practitioner Activity professionals are healthcare specialists who develop and lead activity programming in nursing homes, senior centers, retirement housing, adult day, assisted living, Anderson teaches courses throughout the United States. These courses improve and promote quality in the activities offered to meet the needs of the elderly and persons who receive long-term care services.
