  21. Legal System Canada has two legal systems that are very distinct:

  22. Contract Law A contract is an agreement that the law will enforce. In Canada, contract law is mostly “judge made”. None of the provinces except Quebec have fully codified their contract law into legislation. Instead, it derives from English common law and continues to evolve incrementally in judicial decisions.
