  1. VV Mineral Vaikundarajan Claims Illegal Mining Charges Against Company Are Baseless

  2. On August 6, 2013, Ashish Kumar, the then District Collector of Tuticuron, conducted a raid on VV Minerals and reported that VV Minerals has been involved in large scale illegal mining. The raid report says the company had encroached upon 30 hectares of government land and other mining lease violations, affecting the common man directly. VV Minerals' lease allowed mining only on four hectares. http://vvmineralblog.wordpress.com

  3. However, there was no substantial proof to support his claims and these allegations have been denied by VV Mineral Vaikundarajan, the chairman of the 20-year-old mining company. Loyalists of Vaikundarajan say that these are all but rumours spread by his competitors. http://vvmineral-mining.blogspot.in

  4. VV Minerals, speaking to NDTV, denied these allegations and claimed that the "charges made by the former District Collector are baseless, motivated and vague." http://vvmineral.wordpress.com

  5. The first District Collector of undivided Tirunelveli, V Sundaram, wrote a letter to the Chief Secretary of the state in January 2013 which accused VV Minerals of illegal mining worth over Rs. 96,000 crores. http://vvmineralmining.wordpress.com

  6. The letter also accused state government departments of favouring VV Minerals, saying the mining lease was given to them within 72 days, while the other companies are still waiting for permission. http://vvmineral-mining.blogspot.in

  7. However, RavindramDuraiswami, advocate for VV Minerals told NDTV, "Sundaram is passing this as a cruel joke. He is on the payroll of our business rival... Our hands are clear. We will come out clear from these allegations. Our records are straight," http://vvmineralmining.blogspot.in
