Supreme Court’s Judgement Brings Relief To Companies Like VV

The Heavy mineral mining industry has been suffering huge losses due to delays in the lease renewal process. The Supreme Court has passed a judgement on this and ordered for a deadline to be maintained. This brings a lot of hope for private companies like, VV Minerals as they will not have to suffer anymore.

  2. The Supreme Court of India has finalised a 28-month deadline for the central and state governments to settle on applications seeking for renewal of their mining leases or environmental clearances http://vvmineralblog.wordpress.com

  3. To meet this deadline a special bench which will be headed by Justice JS Kehar, will assign duties to various officers at different levels to deal with the applications http://vvmineral.wordpress.com

  4. This decision is welcomed by VV Mineral, Vaikundarajan as the delay in such processes lead to a lot of losses that affect the entire industry http://vvmineralmining.wordpress.com

  6. The court’s directions are based on suggestions made by the SC-appointed Centrally Empowered Committee (CEC), the Ministry of Environment and Forest (MoEF) and advocate ADN Rao, who is assisting the green bench dealing with environment related cases. http://vvmineralmining.blogspot.in

  7. The order came on a petition filed by the Federation of Indian Minerals Industry (FIMI), which complained that statutory clearances were pending with either the Centre or states for three-four years and companies like VV Minerals were suffering in the process.
