  27. Issues • 12% less children covered under MDM. • Very slow pace of construction of kitchen cum store only 15% kitchen cum stores constructed.

  28. Mi- IIT - Chennai • The quantity of food grain supplied was not as per the marked indicated weight in few schools. PS Anuppanady there was a difference of 10 kg in the weight of rice.in Madurai • 21 schools do not maintain the health card properly in Madurai. • In Madurai In Government Boys Higher Secondary School, T.Vadipatti, there is no proper Kitchen cum store room. So the food is cooked on the roadside platforms which is unhygienic. • 28 schools have reported that the utensils used for cooking are inadequate. • In VIRUDHUNAGARCaste Discrimination: In MPL Kammapatti Middle School. Srivilliputhur, The parents do not want a SC community woman to cook or serve food for their children. • The problem has not been resolved yet and the children are not having MDM in the school • In SIVAGANGAi there is a issue of Kitchen. • 27 schools have reported that the utensils used for cooking are inadequate.

  29. Mi_TN • The same type of food is served daily in all the visited schools in all the 4 visited districts. • Parents or community participation was reportedly unsatisfactory. • No school had roster being maintained by the community members for supervision of the MDM. • In most schools, the cooks and helpers engaged in the schools was not as per GOI norms in all the districts.
