  1. DIGITAL SIGNATURE CERTIFICATE DIGITAL SIGNATURE CERTIFICATE CLASS 3 DSC CLASS 3 DSC Digital Signature is an electronic signature format. It certifies an electronic record in the same way as it is possible to authenticate a document by hand. A Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) can be presented for electronic proof of identity, access to Internet facilities, or digital signature on digital documents. It offers high-level protection for the exchange of information occurring in online transactions. The DSC includes user identity information (name, PIN code, country, email address, date of issue of the certificate, and the name of the certified authority). WORKING OF DIGITAL SIGNATURE- •Digital signatures are among the most important components of an e-signature program, and by using electronic signing methods, they monitor confidentiality, legal validity, and record management effectiveness. •Digital signatures are used when it comes to signing lease agreements, litigation, employment contracts and confidential information, and ensuring that people are as safe as possible. IMPORTANCE OF DIGITAL SIGNATURE- i) Message authentication: •When the Verifier validates the digital signature with either the Sender key or the PUBLIC key, it is persuaded that only the Sender has created the signature. ii) Cut costs: •It can be costly to paper and print. By reducing paper waste, Digital Signature will economize. •This will not only reduce the expense of printing, but will also reduce the costs associated with specific confidential file acquisition and processing. •As you are not using courier mail to send reports, it also helps minimize environmental waste. iii) Improve Digital Workflow and Save Time: •It takes several days to get a document sometimes. With a digital signature, anywhere, anywhere, documents can be delivered instantly. It saves plenty of time.

  2. The need for Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) •For E-filling of the income tax return. •For E-filling of Company Incorporation. •For e-Attestation by Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, and price Accountants. •For E-filling of government tender. •For E-filling of trademark and copyright applications. •For e-signing of agreements and contracts. How to get a digital signature? •The digital signature is provided by the Approved Certifying Authority (CA). CA means a person who, under Information Technology Act of Section 24, is licensed to issue a digital signature. •For DSC to be released from CA, it can take from one day to one week. •Usually, the payments for each provider differ and are provided with a validity of one or two years. Digital Signature has various classes: Class 1 DSC: •This validates the DSC user's e-mail identification. Class 2 DSC: •This DSC confirms that information is not configured inside the accepted user database by the applications given by the subscriber. •It is offered to business and private individuals. Class 3 DSC: •It is issued directly by the DSC Certification Authority (CA) and causes a higher degree of legitimacy because, in order to obtain it, the applicant must present himself and prove his identity before the registration authority.

  3. The legal validity of Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) •Digital signatures are valid in India, according to the Information Technology Act 2000, and licenses are issued by accredited officials under the Ministry of Information Technology. •The digital signature features a simple start date and expiry date, in addition to the current validation. •The expiry date is also used to approach the Revocation List of Certificates (CRL). The certificate is far from the revocation list at the expiry date. How digital signatures work? 1) Apply signature - i) A unique digital fingerprint (called a hash) of the document is generated using a mathematical algorithm when you click on 'Sign'. For this specific text, this hash is restricted; even a minor alteration would create a special hash ii) The hash is encrypted using the private key of the signer. To the digital signature, which is attached to the document, both the encrypted hash and the public key of the signer are applied. iii) This digitally signed document is now ready for delivery. 2) Verifying the signature- i) When a Digital Signature Capable (e.g. Adobe Reader, Microsoft Office) program activates this document, those programs use the Automatic Signer Public Key (which was included in the digital signature with the document). Let's decrypt the document hash key. ii) The new hash for the document is computed by this application. If the new hash matches the decrypted hash, the program detects that the document has not been changed and that the program shows a "The document has not been modified since this signature was applied" alert.
