  1. How Do We Win Souls?Part 3 of the Life-Saver Series January 1, 2012

  2. Acts 16:6-10 (NKJV) 6Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. 7 After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit[ did not permit them. 8 So passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas.

  3. Acts 16:6-10 (NKJV) 9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.

  4. Three things that are needed to win souls: 1. Compassion… 2. Effort… 3. Persistence...

  5. You have to get in the game. You are needed in order for the Kingdom of God to be advanced. There are specific people that you know and come into contact with that nobody else can win. You don’t need a title or a position to be effective in reaching people for Jesus.

  6. Ask the Holy Spirit to tell you where the people are ready to respond. The Holy Spirit sees things we don’t see and hears things we don’t hear. The Holy Spirit knows things that we don’t know. Make time to pray and hear what the Holy Spirit wants to say to you.

  7. Prayer makes the difference. The Holy Spirit speaks to us in our prayer time. Pray the scriptures and insert the name of the one you are praying for.

  8. 2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV) The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

  9. John 3:16-17 (NKJV) 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.  • You are contending for the eternal destiny of a soul, so expect a battle. That battle is only won on your knees.

  10. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (NKJV) 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, • Ask God for both the opportunity and His timing.

  11. In the New Testament Church. The norm is for people to come to Jesus Acts 2:47 (NKJV) praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. The demonstration of God’s miracle power did not only accompany the word or follow the word, but in fact were part of the message…

  12. 1 Corinthians 2:4 (NKJV) And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

  13. Faith and the power of your words Speak life (faith) over the people that you are praying for. Don’t pray the problem; pray the answer! Declare the promise of God over their lives by faith...and keep praying the promise until it happens.

  14. Ephesians 2:8 (NKJV) For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

  15. Example of a prayer of repentance. “Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and cleanse my heart from sin today. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. It is my intention to live for you and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.”

  16. Scriptures that explain salvation. (Roman road) Romans 3:23 (NKJV) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, The first step toward God is to realize that we all have sinned.

  17. Scriptures that explain salvation. (Roman road) Romans 6:23 (NKJV) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Sin has an ending.  It results in death.  We all face physical death, which is a result of sin.  But a worse death is spiritual death that alienates us from God, and will last for all eternity.  The Bible teaches that there is a place called the Lake of Fire where lost people will be in torment forever.

  18. Scriptures that explain salvation. (Roman road) Romans 6:23b (NLT) …but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Salvation is a free gift from God to you!  You can't earn this gift, but you must reach out and receive it.

  19. Scriptures that explain salvation. (Roman road) Romans 5:8 (NLT) But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. When Jesus died on the cross He paid sin's penalty. He paid the price for all sin, and when He took all the sins of the world on Himself on the cross, He bought us out of slavery to sin and death! He did all this because He loved us and gave Himself for us!

  20. Scriptures that explain salvation. (Roman road) Romans 10:9 (NLT) If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:10 (NLT) For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.
