  3. Spelling –Malay • Weekly basis from T1 Week 3 (every Tuesday) • Starting in T1 W3 as pupils are taught to recognize the sounds of the syllables Anglo–Chinese School (Primary)

  4. ERP (ExtensiveReadingProgramme) • Our Malay Language Department will continue with our Extensive Reading Programme (ERP). • We will start our Buddy Reading Programme in Term 1 Week 4. Letters have been given out to the parents. Buddy Reading will be on Wednesdays, 7-7.30am at 2B LC. • Pupils are required to purchase pupil’s magazine, Majalah Cerdik and Singapore Zoo Stories.   5. Reading Programme • Our Theme, ‘Yok, Mari Membaca’ • The contents of this booklet are interesting • Pupils are encouraged to identify their favourite characters, draw their favourite scenes and many more… Anglo–Chinese School (Primary)

  6. Worksheets • Worksheets are done based on units and topics. • Parents’ signature is needed at the end of each unit to ensure there is Parent and Teacher Collaboration. • Pupils need to place these worksheets in the 3 inch yellow ring file. • Parent’s help is needed to ensure that worksheets are placed in the big file according to the titles of the dividers. Malay Language Programmes/Outdoor learning Activities 2011 • Mother Tongue Fun Day • Mother Tongue Zoo Trip • To organize a trip to Hortpark (First Week of June Holiday) • ML Day Camp (Last Week of June Holiday) • Trip to Pertapis (September holiday) These are the tentative dates and more details will be made known closer to the date of the activity.
