North Florida AACEi

The SunRail commuter rail project in North Florida has seen significant milestones since its inception. Phase I FFGA was signed on July 18, 2011, with FDOT purchasing the corridor from CSXT. Groundbreaking ceremonies occurred on January 27, 2012, and by July 2013, vehicle testing was underway, with station completions nearing 100%. Phase II is targeted for 2016, extending services further and enhancing transit options across the region. The project aims to alleviate traffic congestion, support economic growth, and improve commuter quality of life.
