Women in treatment in the Czech Republic System of data collection • Data provider = TC centres • Data collection provides Hygienic Service • National sumary of data and data analysis provides Drug Epidemiology Headquarters of the Hygienic Station of the Capital Prague • EMCDDA form is used • monitoring of incidence of treated drug users (First Treatment Demand – FTD) since 1.1.1995 • monitoring of prevalence of treated drug users and All Treatment Demand (ATD) since 1.1.2002

Women in treatment in the Czech RepublicCONCLUSIONS: • The highest number of treated women is in the age group 15 – 19 years • The men : women ratio is lowest in both youngest age groups, in pervitin users in the Czech Republic is lower then 1 : 1 (in Prague in 3 youngest age groups) • The trend of number of treated women is still increasing • Treated women use pervitin more often then men • Treated women are younger then men (55 % of all treated women are younger then 20 years) and they are more commonly in category „pupil / student“ • The share of pervitin use and heroin use among women grows with older age group; the share of cannabinoids use decreases • The average age of treated women using heroin and opiates is about two years lower in comparison with men, in pervitin the difference is 3,5 years • The share of treated women with inject administration of drug is about 4 % higher in comparison with men
