  2. Blackboard … what is it? • Blackboard is a part of the overall Monash University Studies Online (MUSO) system; it provides an on line teaching and learning component in Social Work Units.

  3. Why do we use Blackboard in social work? • To make learning more interactive • To cater for a range of student learning styles • To enable and encourage contact and connection with other students • To facilitate effective communication with the unit co-ordinator

  4. 1st/2nd Year subjects which have a Blackboard component • SWK3240 Working with Individuals • Theory component • Skills component • SWK3250 Human Development • SWK3230 Social Work Research • SWK3180 Fieldwork skills and practicum • SWK3120 Family Work and Group Work

  5. How to access Blackboard • Log onto your home page on the my.monash portal http://my.monash.edu.au • Click on the ‘Study and Enrolment’ tab • Click on the ‘Study’ link • You should now be able to access all of the units you are enrolled in
