The Slovak NGDO Platform is a group of legal entities working in development projects, education, volunteer sending, and humanitarian assistance. Established in September 2002, it aims to represent members' interests in international development cooperation and provide information, coordination, and joint activities. The platform collaborates with authorities, conducts research, and offers educational services to influence public opinion. It receives grants for its initiatives and engages with MPs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to shape ODA policies. The platform's successes include integrating development education into the ODA system, while its challenges involve advocating for a dedicated ODA law, budget increase, and modernizing humanitarian systems.
