  2. Limited Government • Ruler, like everyone else, must obey the laws • Constitutions limit the power they have • Rulers are elected by the people • People retain the power

  3. EXAMPLE Limited Government DEMOCRACY • System of government • People vote on all the government decisions • Whatever most people want is what wins • Examples of Democracy: • United States • Student Council

  4. Unlimited Government • Ruler controls everything • No limits on what she/he can do • No limits on what she/he can’t do

  5. EXAMPLE Unlimited Government Autocracy • System of government • Government or Ruler has total control • over a group of people • Ruler makes all the decisions • Does not let the people have a vote • May ask for an opinion • Examples of Autocracy: • Teacher • Parent • King
