  6. Security Issues • Students have been placed in safety groups of 4 according to the rooming list. • Each group has an assigned group leader and all group leaders should have the hp numbers of their roommates and the teachers at all times. • All students must ensure that their group leader is aware of their precise whereabouts at all times (this includes washroom visits). • Group leaders should inform teachers immediately if they are unaware of their group members’ whereabouts. • Students are NEVER to leave the resort, or the site of an activity, unless they have been given explicit permission to do so by a teacher. • Rooms are allocated according to gender and personal outings and activities are strictly not allowed under any circumstances (this includes visits and outings to one another’s rooms).

  7. Communication • All students will be aware of which rooms the teachers are in so that they will be able to reach them whenever necessary. • There will be a roll call every night before lights out, every morning at breakfast and whenever necessary during activities. Students MUST be present at these times. • If you are lost or in any sort of trouble at any point during the trip, contact a teacher FIRST as we will be able to offer more immediate help. Next, they should inform their group leader or anyone within their group.

  8. Personal Safety • Never leave your belongings unattended for any length of time especially when you are clearing customs. • Always keep alert, especially in crowds and never wander off alone. • Never engage in conversation with strangers, never purchase any goods or substances which might be suspect, and especially never put it in your luggage home. • NEVER AGREE TO CARRY / WATCH / IN ANY WAY TAKE CHARGE OF A PARCEL FOR ANYONE ELSE.

  9. Health and Welfare • Teachers have already taken note of allergies / dietary restrictions and have sent specific details to the travel agent. However, do look out for yourselves and your friends in terms of food allergies etc. • You should also bring your own required medication with you and provide us with details of your prescription in writing. • If you feel ill, you must let a teacher know immediately and teachers will decide on whether to seek further medical assistance depending on the severity of the situation. All medical costs will be covered by insurance upon return to Singapore.

  10. Important Information • Contact details of our travel agent, the resort and the accompanying teachers are all available in the Info Sheet should your parents wish to contact you or the teachers for any reason. • There are no luggage limits or specific amounts that you will have to bring for expenditure but please travel light, be sensible and use your own discretion. • Reporting Time: Please meet at LT5 at 7 am on the 29th in your PE T-shirt Your parents can pick you up from school at about 12pm on the 31st.

  11. Additional Information Financing: Cost: $309.60 Council Subsidy: $100 IF: Students must pay at least 20% of total cost and IF should not cover more than 50% of cost. 20% = $61.92
