  2. Foundations of the Company • 1875: Isaac E. Blake founded Conoco. • Supplier of Kerosene in Ogden, Utah • 1905: Frank & L.E. Phillips established Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville Ok. • They hit 81 wells without a dry hole. • Burlington Resources traces back to 1864 with the Northern Pacific Railway Company.

  3. The ConocoPhillips Merger • The merger between Conoco Inc. and Phillips Petroleum Company took place on August 30, 2002. • Burlington Resources was added in 2006 to advance the company’s position as a leading producer and marketer of natural gas.

Our Business • The company has four core activities worldwide: • • Petroleum exploration and production. • • Petroleum refining, marketing, supply and • transportation. • • Natural gas gathering, processing and • marketing, including a 50 percent interest in • DCP Midstream, LLC. • • Chemicals and plastics production and distribution • through a 50 percent interest in Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, LLC.
