  1. Status on the HYDE project Collaboration: University of Huelva, Spain (coordinator) GSI-Darmstadt, Germany. University of Sevilla, Spain. CSIC-IEM Madrid, Spain. IKS-University of Leuven, Belgium. CRC Louvain la Neuve, Belgium. A. Soltan Institute for Nuclear Studies, Warsaw, Poland. H. Niewodniczandki Institute of Nuclear Physics PAN, Krakow, Poland. Present support: FAZIA collaboration CEA-Saclay

  2. Detection techniques: • - E1 : gas/monolithic Si-10m. • - E2 : DSSD 40 m. • E : Single PAD 2 mm. • Pulse shape analysis. • Time of flight. E1E2E The HYDE concept • Physics at 3-20 MeV/u  should we include up to 100 MeV/u??: • Direct Nuclear Reactions, Clustering, Fusion Evaporation, • Deep Inelastic, etc. Beam: - Large emitance > 20 mmmrad. - Low intensity <107 pps. • Goals: • - Charged particles. • Good charge and mass identification. • Efficiency (>60%). • - Good energy resolution (<300 keV). • Angular resolution (<2º). HYDE • Status and perspectives 2006-2008: • - Preliminary concept design. • - Simulations GEANT4. • Status and funding.
