What is a School Improvement Plan School Improvement Team comprised of teachers, staff, administrators and parents, meets to establish a yearly School Improvement Plan (SIP) with specific goals for each school. The teams use information from a variety of sources that include standardized test results and school data.

  5. Percentage of Students who have met or exceeded Standards in 3rd grade

  6. 2012 ISAT 4th Grade READING 4th Grade MATH

  7. Percentage of Students who have met or exceeded standards in 4th grade

  8. 2012 ISAT 4th Grade SCIENCE

  9. 2012 ISAT 5th Grade READING 5th Grade MATH

  10. Percentage of Students who have met or exceeded standards in 5th grade

  11. WOW!How do we get better than that?

  12. What are some trends? • The percentage of students Below Standards is decreasing. • The percentage of students Meeting Standards is increasing. • The percentage of students Exceeding Standards is fluctuating.

  13. What are some trends? • Low scores with Extended Response for Mathematics— (scores 4, 3, 2, 1, 0)

  14. School Improvement Goals to focus on… • Progressively increase our percentage of students exceeding standards in math and reading • Increase the scores for 3 and 4 in the math extended responses for EXPLANATION

  15. Excuse me, but you forgot about Social – Emotional Goals

  16. Social Emotional Standard • Using social awareness and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive relationships by recognizing perspectives of others and using communication to interact effectively. • OR to put simply-- (Let’s get along with each other)
