What’s been happening ? • Policy & Standards Team is continuing to work on the SharePoint Governance Plan. • Policy & Standards Team is working on a KB document that will outline the process for having a site approved for “critical data.” • Working with IU purchasing to engage PCMS in doing a “Health Check” of our SharePoint 2013 architecture. • Implementation Team is continuing to reviewing current KB documentation, training offerings, support processes. • SharePoint Admins have been working to fine tune the SharePoint 2013 architecture.

SharePoint 2013 Migration Timelines • (tentative and subject to change) • Migration dates are going to be adjusted and changed from the original Oct/Nov 2013 dates. • PHASE I (moving SharePoint 2010 environment to new hardware and SharePoint 2013) • Test Environment (completed) • Environment has been opened to “blank site” testing • Will be rebuilt (TBD) • Production Environment • Design and implementation of new hardware architecture (in progress) • Environment pre-shakedown (in progress) • Open for preproduction testing • Prod1 Farm (TBD) • Prod2 Farm (TBD) • Production migration to new hardware • Prod1 Farm (Standard Farm) – TBD • Prod2 Farm (Advanced Farm) – TBD • PHASE II (moving sites from SharePoint 2010 bit-code to SharePoint 2013 bit code) • Bit Code upgrades from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013 • Prod1 Farm – My Sites (TBD) • Prod1 Farm – Departmental/Group Sites (TBD) • Prod2 Farm – Departmental/Group Sites (TBD)

  5. What YOU can do to get your SITE ready for migration • Housekeeping…. Clean & Purge • Delete any sites or sub sites that you are not currently using. • FAB 40 templates will no longer be supported. • Meeting workspaces are no longer supported.
