  3. ATOP N-Pacific & Nested Domains • Based on mpiPOM • Resolution: 0.1 ° x 0.1 °, 41 σ-level • Date : 1987/7 ~2011/12 spin-up; then forecast since Jan/2012 Forecast W-Pacific model GFS Wind, CCMP & ECMWF Wind, MCSST, AVISOSSHA Data assimilation

Western Pacific Forecast Model Based on mpiPOM Resolution:0.1 x0.1°, 31 σ-level, 7-days forecast GFS Wind, MCSST, SSHA -> Assimilation +7 days -7 days Today Plans for Model Enhancements: Resolution: 10 km 3km 1km Wave, tides, river, drifters, floats, ADCP, CODAR…etc. Sediment and sand transport, Bio-geochemical modeling
