  5. 6 08/2010 A separate IP1 form must be completed for the Languages and Science Interdisciplinary Project Units. Please indicate clearly, by a tick in the ‘Yes’ box, which Unit you are applying for.

  6. We have a well documented IV system developed in 2006 for our Skills for Work courses, and now operated across the school. Records are maintained by our PTs and monitored by our SMT. As the Interdisciplinary Project Unit is internally assessed, it is important your centre has an effective local quality process to support assessors and to standardise internal assessment and grading decisions for all candidates.

  7. Standardisation does take place, and we are currently documenting our practices at departmental level. Would appreciate advice on IV sampling rates. Our partnership agreements cover provision of suitably qualified/experienced staff to support all our IP candidates. However, our PT Biologywill co-ordinate IP activities, and undertake some assessment. Please ask for support if required, and tell us about any partnership arrangements you may have

  8. We have partnership agreements in place, which cover access to resources, with our local college, 2 universities and a locally based international medical research company. We have developed a generic Partnership Agreement document that we tailor to meet the needs of each specific partner. (Attached) If you anticipate that partnership arrangements will be necessary to support your Interdisciplinary Project candidates it is important that these arrangements are underpinned by robust Partnership Agreements.

  9. The school has long established links with many local employers. We have video conferencing facilities which currently provides access to resources / staff at two colleges and several neighbouring schools.
