  2. About Us Vikasa International Center is the newest initiative of SOPAR-Bala Vikasa , a registered, secular and apolitical non-profit organization founded in 1977 by Mr Andre Gingras, a French Canadian diplomat and development expert and Mrs Bala Theresa Gingras , an Indian philanthropist.

Our Mission • Building the capacities of CSR teams by organizing training programs in Community Driven Development • Offering consultancy in planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on CSR initiatives • Fostering entrepreneurship through capacity building, networking and mentoring

Micro Enterprises Entrepreneurship in underdeveloped regions is a proven catalyst for transforming the lives of the poor, and positively contributing to community growth.   The inherent promise of micro-entrepreneurship is that by setting up small business units catering to specific rural demands.

Capacity Building We are conducting various community development programs in order to build capacity in the rural people and also explaining the easy methods that by setting up small business units catering to specific rural demands, a family can lift itself out of debt, educate its children adequately and move up the socio-economic ladder.

  9. Women Empowerment We are conducting various community development programs in order to train them on various aspects like: Assessing local need based services / products Feasibility assessment, developing a sound business model Assigning value, costing, pricing Market and competitor analysis
