  2. Introduction Securing admission to the top B-Schools in India is the dream of every student. The top B-Schools in India in 2017 mostly include the Indian Institutes of Management. XLRI (Xavier Labour Relations Institute) features on the 9th position in the list of top B-Schools in India in 2017. Good grades in academics and a range of skills are required to secure admission into one of these top schools. Besides the above, here’s what you need to gain an entry into the top B-Schools in India in 2017-

  3. Perfect Score in Entrance Exams A candidate will be required to clear the entrance exam cutoff to secure an admission into a good B-School. Top B-Schools also require a candidate to clear sectional cutoffs. So, you will have to prepare thoroughly in order to clear the sectional as well overall cutoffs.

  4. Excel in Group Discussion To perform well in the group discussion, a candidate will have to be well aware of what is going on in the management industry around the world. Read newspapers and watch news channels to be well-informed about the current affairs.

  5. Clear the Personal Interview You need to be confident when you sit for the personal interview. Prepare your answers for common questions like “introduce yourself”, “where do you see yourself in five years”, “why do you want to do an MBA”, etc.

  6. Work Experience Work experience isn’t a compulsion for admission into a B-School, but it does tend to offer you an edge over others candidates who come as freshers.

  7. Conclusion Prepare the list of colleges you are looking to target and gather information about their admission process. It is better to start early with your preparations, so that you complete the syllabus in time and have enough time left for revision and practice.
