THEKARAPROJECT Mary Woods/ Dionne Gamble 103 Pineview Road Statesboro, GA 30458 (912) 764-8457 June 3, 2010 Dear Parent: The Kara Project will host its first Mathematics Skill Building Camp at the Mt. Zion Outreach Center in Statesboro, Georgia. This will be a Free two –week camp for African American Boys who have completed or are rising 4th or 5th graders. Facilitators/teachers will be members of Black Women of Profession (BWOP) and the family and friends of Kara. The curriculum will be based on the skills needed for each elementary grade level and below. Individual attention will be given to each participant so that strengths and weaknesses can be identified. Strengths will be celebrated and weaknesses will be come strengths. Please distribute the enclosed flyers to members. Encourage all to invite any parents of 4th or 5th grade boys to enroll their boys. This camp will not only focus on skill building but FUN! Sincerely, Mary Woods Director
