Year 2013 September Issue 9 For The Love Of Singing VOICE WORKSHOP Following the success of last year’s voice workshop, we are planning another one for Sat. 5th Oct. at 1 p.m. The two hour work-shop will begin with a brief discussion of the vocal apparatus and will then explore some of the key techniques needed for beautiful singing. These include: - correct posture - diaphragmatic breathing - relaxation of the soft palate and associated structures - the development of vocal resonanceThe workshop will introduce physical and vocal exercises to develop these techniques. Participants will be able to download audio files containing the vocal exercises at the completion of the workshop. They will also receive, if they so wish, a half hour voice consultation to be set up for a separate time.The cost of the workshop is $35 per person with a maximum number of participants limited to twelve.This workshop is certain to fill up very quickly.
