  3. Mid-Week Wind Storm Key Points • Strong northwesterly winds will occur today as a strong low pressure system migrates across the Northern Plains. Wind gusts up to 55 MPH will be possible. • Strong winds will relax to 20-30 MPH tonight before re-strengthening out of the northwest early Thursday morning, with gusts in excess of 55 MPH. • Potential will exist for extreme fire behavior this afternoon and again Thursday afternoon.
