Collaboration My School – Surveys 1 Using Surveys You can create a survey using your Easy Page feature. You can use surveys to ask team members what they think about issues, how to improve your processes, and many other topics. You can collect the results by using several different types of questions. Before you create a survey, it is a good idea to map out the questions that you want to ask and the type of answers that you want to receive. 2 Examples – Creating a survey • Things to consider • See an overview of a survey and its responses • View a graphical summary of all responses • View all survey responses • View a single survey response • Export responses to a spreadsheet Portal and collaboration team
Survey Questions - Things to Consider • Avoid negatives or double negatives • Avoid double-barrelled questions • Ask question with choices, “yes or no” or rating scale. These answers can be graphed. • Example: “How useful do you find these Professional Development Topics and the resources available?” • Replace with: • Question 1: “Rate how useful you found this Professional Development Topic?” • Question 2: “Rate how you found the resources available?” Portal and collaboration team
