Stars Over Mauna Kea Why would a newspaper agree to a publication on astronomy? - Postive exposure to the community - Notifying public of the lastest scientific results - Table top tabloid will have a “shelf” life of six months on a living room table - Great for their advertisers to have the opportunity to support science

Stars Over Mauna Kea Why would you want to take the time and effort to publish a tabloid for your community? - The community loved it and read it! - A great way to inform the public about science and astronomy achievements locally, nationally and internationally - Students were required to read it in the classroom - Tabletop - still at doctor’s and dentist’s office - Publication to hand out at conferences - DJ on radio station talked about it for several mornings on air - double press!
