Anabolic steroids They increase protein within the cells, especially the skeletal muscle They were first made in the 1930’s Anabolic steroids are used to increase bone growth and appetite Sometimes anabolic steroids are used to treat cancer Also they can contribute to increase in body weight Anabolic steroids can lead to massive muscle growth Some sports athletes use them in such sports like racing for body build up and performance if the sport find out you are using this drug it is called doping and this is banned from sports

  3. Sex steroids Sex steroids are also known as gonadal steroids Sex steroids interact with the vertebrate androgen Their effects are slow genomic mechanisms through the nuclear receptors There are two main types of sex steroids and the are androgens and estrogens

Adrenal steroids Help rebuild tissue that have become weak because of serious injury or illness Promotes skin and hair growth and can influence emotions and sex drive Since 2009 not a single anabolic steroid has been manufactured that was free of negative side effects Adrenal steroids are hormones and at least two to three dozen different steroids are synthesized and secreted from this tissue The adrenal steroid produces some sex steroid
