  2. The most miraculous discoveries about ones self is usually because of something small. Like singing in the shower can lead you to realize your potential as a singer or cooking with your mother may make you want to bake for the rest of your life. Passion for something can be found anywhere and when you do realize that, it shapes your life and who you will become. For me getting a pet, taught me responsibility, she taught me how to look after and care for another, its because of her that I am the way I am today.

  3. One day I came home and was greeted by a black and orange calico feline, with bright amber eyes staring up at me. She was so cute! I found out that someone just dropped her off, so I decided I would care for her. She ended up loving me the most, she stayed in my room all the time just to be with me, and she always cuddled and purred whenever I gave her the slightest amount of attention. She even stayed with me all night. She taught me how much you can care for something and how wonderful it is that they love you back. I know her so so much, even now that she is old and slowing down, she still gets up to meow at me whenever I enter my room. If only people were more like her, never backstab you, hurt you, or lie to you. They live in the now, they never try to be something they’re not. She taught me not to be afraid of who I am, and be happy with the friends who like me for who I really am.

  4. As an animal she needs to be taken care of and it gives you a sense of purpose and makes you accountable for mistakes. Basically having a pet teaches you responsibility. They need to be feed and watered daily, to be cleaned up after, they need to be taught what they can and can’t do, but the best thing of all, they need to be played with. My cat also needs to run, she needs to be let outside to be free every day, that is, if it’s not too cold. She always comes back though, because she knows where her home really is. In taking care of her, I learned self discipline and how to put someone else’s needs before my own. It’s a great feeling to help others. Some times its stressful to try and take care of everyone who means something to you, but I love helping people. That will never change. I believe that it’s my cat who helped me be who I want to, do things I’m proud to do.

  5. It’s just amazing how something so small can leave such a big impact on our lives. One animal has shaped my whole personality and way of thinking. That is why I chose her as one of the most important things in my life.
