  3. Practices • Practice starts everyday at 2:45! • We take attendance every day. • We will practice regardless of temperature. Unless told by a coach. Athletes need to be dressed appropriately. • We will practice Saturday practices, unless we have a meet that day. • If you have to miss or come late to practice for an excused reason (sick, doc. appt., help from a teacher, Ect.) You need to let a coach know ahead of time and bring a note!! Change first then see a teacher.

  4. Attendance Consequences • The following applies to UNEXCUSED absences and latenesses. • 1st Offense – Warning • 2ND Offense –Email / Phone call home • 3rd Offense – Will not participate in the next meet (No matter how important the meet) • 4th Offense – Removal from the team.

  5. Injuries • See Athletic Trainer Ms. Palermo first. Most running injuries require only a few days off or easy running. If injuries warrants a doctor’s appointment than she will tell you so. • If doctor says you cannot practice then you will not practice or participate in meets until cleared by doctor’s note • If injured, you are still required to attend practices and meets to support the team.

  6. Who gets to run at meets? • League meets – 30 spots boys / girls, 2 buses max 100 kids. • Invitational meets – 10-12 boys /girls spots. • Championship meets – Counties - top 3 in each event. • Regionals/ States must qualify • Our goal is to get everyone in at least 2 meets.

  8. Can I take my Child home early from a meet? • We encourage everyone to stay the entire meet to cheer on and encourage teammates. • If you are going to take your child home you (or your child) must bring in a note to the office at least 24hrs prior to the meet. The note must be signed by the parent/guardian. The note will then be signed by our AAM (Mr. Duffy). Note then will be given to the coach. • You must check out with a coach before leaving. • You may only take your child home.

  9. Parent Volunteers • Monday Jan. 6th • We need to bring 7-10 parents to help out with the meet. • Duties would include resetting the high jump bar when it falls, raking the pits after long jump, rolling shot-puts back after they are thrown, organizing runners in the finish chute after they finish. • Great way to see your kids up close! • You will get in for free (normally $5)

  10. Fundraisers • Team Night @ Road Runner Sports. – Tomorrow (12-3-2013) from 6-8pm. We get money based on how many people show up, so bring the whole family. • Spirit Wear – Order forms due tomorrow (12-3-2013) at practice or at team night.
