  2. Business Goal 3 Introduction This Communications Plan provides a Comprehensive general strategy for achieving 2003 Business Goal #3 (Internal Communication)…Since NFCC is a nonprofit organization, this plan is the equivalent of a corporate internal communications plan. Specific Project Action (Rollout) Plans and appendices will be developed to execute each phase of the plan.

  3. Business Goal 3 Introduction The success of the NFCC organization’s external communications program (i.e. public relations, marketing and advertising campaigns) is predicated on the strength of the organization’s internal identity and internal communications program. Our internal Identity conflicts have produced a prolonged identity crisis for national staff and members.

  4. Business Goal 3 Internal Communications Challenges & Opportunities Disparities in agencies’ ability to communicate with the NFCC office and other agencies, combined with system limitations and inefficiencies, along with periodic inappropriate uses of internal communications processes and information has caused a weakening of the internal communication system.

  5. Business Goal 3 Key Objectives 1) Establish an environment of trust for conveying privileged communications, i.e., confidential, sensitive, legal, proprietary, etc. information. 2) Develop better management system for communications processes, products and vehicles, including NFCC’s websites (intranet/internal message boards) internal correspondence, announcements, letters, etc., to facilitate improved internal communications.

  6. Business Goal 3 Guiding Principles for Managing Organizational Identity and Image Organizational Identity: An organization’s identity is an Internal dynamic that can be defined as the sum of how an Organization represents itself to others...Identity is based on how you view yourself and how you define yourself to others; we must understand and agree on the fundamentals (common attributes and mission) that describe how we see ourselves as a group, in order to effectively project a unified and positive identity that can be translated into a positive image.
