the smartname will use the information attached to the job. First define this information by using the “info” button for the current job.

page 3 shows separation details of theinput job. Several placeholders are created that will function as guides to position the smartmarks.

page 4 uses a 3D view of the input file. Prerequisite is a structural file (ARD, DAE, ZAE), to make this work. Label.pdf has an ARD embedded.

now it’s time to create the report. Run the reportmaker task in Automation Engine. Select label.pdf as input file. (right click – launch)

sit back and enjoy your first report that was automatically created ! Think of all the time you will be saving !

the report is created in a new folder called “ReportMaker”. Use “view” to view your report. Remark : when using Acrobat to view your report, make sure overprint preview is turned on in preferences.
