San Francisco Green Business Program: Promoting Sustainable Practices for a Healthier Environment

The San Francisco Green Business Program aims to foster a healthier and cleaner environment by assisting businesses in implementing sustainable and profitable environmental practices. Launched in 2004, this initiative involves partnerships between city agencies and ABAG and has recognized 20 businesses to date. Participants benefit from compliance verification, conservation audits, and sector-specific checklists, as well as free promotional opportunities. By supporting local green businesses, we contribute to environmental responsibility while enhancing community sustainability.
