Student Responsibilities • Bring all assigned textbooks/readings to every class • Bring your subject binder with paper, pencils, and pens to every class • Maintain a neat and organized student binder • Complete all assigned readings • Complete all assigned work in class • Complete all assignments • Follow all instructions precisely • Always pay attention & listen/do not distract people • Study for every test/quiz • Actively participate in all class discussions/debates • Be on time for every class/attend every class • You and you alone are responsible for what grade/marks you receive

  4. Assignments • Assignments can be made up only with excused absences • Students are responsible for making up all missed assignments • Students must arrange a time with the teacher when all missed assignments must be completed by • If assignments are not made up, students will receive a grade of 0 for each missed assignment

  5. Washroom Use • Students may leave the class at any time BUT: • They must inform the teacher where they are going • And return in a timely fashion • Only one student at a time

  6. Mobile Phones • Mobile devices must be turned off and put away for the duration of the class • Any use of mobile devices, for any reason, during class time is strictly prohibited • Any use of mobile devices during class time may result in the device being confiscated for the duration of the school day and/or a referral to the office

  7. MP3 Players • MP3’s are permitted but only when students have been assigned work on their own • MP3’smust not be on or earphones in at any other time, such as during lectures, discussions, or group work • While students are working and listening to MP3 playersif the instructor asks for the classes attention, students must remove head phones form their ears and turn off their ipods to listen

  8. Food & Drink • Food and Drink are permitted in class under the following conditions ONLY: • It is expected that students will leave no garbage, wrappers, or bottles in class • Students must clean up after themselves and leave no mess in class
