  2. Polish Association of Forensic Science (PAFS) Since 1973

  3. Main tasks of PAFS • to popularise the most recent achievements of forensic science • to promote advancements of forensic and related disciplines • to determine and monitor norms and standards of performing forensic examination • to perform specialist examination, forensic casework, to issue statements • to supervise and grant forensic expert or specialist licences • to undertake other activities directly related to crime prevention and fight against criminal phenomena

Forensic meetings • First Forensic Symposium of PAFS - 1978 • Forensic Science at the turn of centuries – 1999 Bystra Śląska • Forensic Science of the 21st century – 2002 Rynia • Forensic Science – still new challlenges – 2005 Łączna • Crown witness; Controlled delivery – Polish – American conferences • The state-of-the-art in procedural and forensic crime scene examination – co-organised with the High Police Academy in Szczytno
