  1. Construct a Parallelogram Lift Image retrieved from: http://www.stertiluk.com/stertilkoni/bus_lift.htmlon November 30, 2010.

  2. Construct a Parallelogram Lift • Performance Objective: Given VEX parts construct a parallelogram lift that can lift a small ball 12 inches, and place the ball in a goal • Enabling Objectives: • Explain the purpose of a parallelogram lift • Explain how a parallelogram lift works • Explain the advantage of using a parallelogram lift

  3. Parallelograms Arm End-effector A parallelogram arm can be used to keep an end-effector that is attached to the arm, vertical when lifting the arm

  4. How it works Arm Arm Pivot point End-effector End-effector The arm can be rotated up or down, and the end-effector will stay vertical

  5. How it works gears Two parallel bars End-effector The two arms are connected with gears, the gears are operated by a motor The parallel bars can be connected with vertical bars, but these bars cannot be tightened, if they are tightened to the arms, the arms will not be able to function properly

  6. Construct a parallelogram lift Using the guidelines in Design Brief 4.2, Construct a Parallelogram Lift, construct a parallelogram lift that can lift a small ball 12 inches and place the ball into a goal
