  10. Welcome Page • New: Draft status dropped

  11. Specify Reporting Period • First select month that the data is about

  12. Enter Metrics and Comments • New compact format; comment boxes grow as needed • Most recent previous values displayed bracketed in yellow • Sparkline trend for last year; turn to green with new data • Improved CSV text file with values

  13. Citations & Project-Defined Metrics • Use baseline comment to define metric, supplementary for monthly notes • Save at end; save draft option dropped

  14. Editing a Previous Report • Can be used to correct a report or edit from EMS-MCT Bridge data • EMS import is partial; use MCT editing to provide initial standing comments, monthly supplementary comments, changes in volume of data available (question 6), etc. • Turns status bar from blue to green

  15. Displaying Previously-Entered Data • From any screen, select “View Metrics Reports” • Select month(s); single month shows sparkline graphs • Export to Excel produces CSV file (with .xls suffix) • Copy/paste from table

  16. EMS-MCT Bridge • Data reported by DAACs to EMS can be used to populate questions 1 (distinct users), 2 (users by domain), 3 (products delivered), and 5 (volume distributed) • Other values (except 11) and all standing comments are copied over from previous months • Report it once and it will remain unless you edit • You can enter values before or after EMS values copied • Bridge won’t overwrite your values on any question • Bridge normally runs on evening of the 3rd of the month

  17. EMS-MCT Bridge Set-up • Distinguish what records are copied from EMS • Some alternatives: • SELECT … WHERE product-name IN (“GSSTF”, “GSSTF_NCEP”, … • SELECT … WHERE protocol IN (“DQSS”, “DQSSVIS”); • … AND provider = “GESDISC” • We always add … AND emsstatus=“200” AND usertype IN (“2”, “5”) • Successful transfer and science team or public users
