Three options to fulfill your major requirement • Internship (SOCI3398) • Co-op (SOCI3396) • Study Abroad (SA4490) • All three options require some level of adminstrative approval
Internship • Engaging in experiential learning at an organization relevant to sociology • Many work organizations • Most volunteer organizations • May be paid or unpaid • Minimum one semester commitment
Co-operative • Similar to an internship, but oriented to those who are working full-time or significant hours at a position appropriately linked to sociology and/or career goals • Must be a paid position • Minimum two semester commitment
Study Abroad • Confer with your advisor • Some study abroad programs are offered through the Sociology department. • Typically occurring in the summer over a several week period.
