  1. ORIENTATION

  2. WHO WE ARE • We started as an 11 man outdoor team over 10 years ago. We were exclusively a road team before making the Mediacom Ice Park our home 5 years ago. When we teamed up with the park board, we also joined the A.P.F.L. American Professional Football League. This brought an evolution of change as we adapted to indoor, arena- style football regulations and rules.

  7. MISSION STATEMENT • To provide an affordable, high energy sporting event for all ages. We work with the community and local businesses to enrich the fan’s experience and promote Springfield’s wealth of enterprise. This affords us unique opportunities to be a positive influence and driving force for our youth and local not-for-profit organizations.

  8. Every Child Ahead BUILDING CHARACTER IN THE NEXT GENERATION The Springfield WolfPack is working with area schools to encourage and REWARD YOUTH IN THEIR academic and social GROWTH BY RAISING sponsorship for kids in grades K-8 to have the Opportunity TO EARN A FREE TICKET to one or more WolfPack home games in 2011! This will allow teachers and staff to reward excellence and achievement so that a good pattern of character development will be reinforced.

  9. WOLFPACK STAFF We are comprised of volunteers, fans, and friends. Last year we began an internship program that enriched the lives and learning of WolfPack and students alike. We have seen great success for our interns in regards to career placement in the sports entertainment industry.

  10. While a lot of my classes at the Missouri State University prepared me to enter the real world, my most valuable experience was my internship. • The best part about my internship was the fact that I was able to work in all facets of the organization. Being able to do this gave me the confidence to be more outspoken and to pursue a career in the sports industry. • I went down to Orlando for the MLB Winter Meetings. I was down there for3 days and had about 12 interviews during that course. In all of my interviews, the first question I was always asked was what did you do with the WolfPack? • I always proceeded to tell them the history of the organization and how I worked hand and hand with the ownership and top management. They all loved what I had to say, and thanks to that, I had numerous offers from many different teams. • I made a decision to come and work with the Hagerstown Suns. The Suns are the Single A affiliate to the Washington Nationals. I am head of Corporate Sponsorships Sales and work directly with the General Manager, Bill Farley, to lockdown the sponsors for the upcoming season. I have been there for 4 weeks so far and have loved every second of it. • I couldn’t have done this without the help of the WolfPack and I would recommend this to anyone that wants to work in sports, to intern with this team. It’s was a great experience and really prepared me for what to expect in this industry. Thanks again Wendy, Angela, and Terry.
