Banner Poster Gimmicks Video Introduction of Nominees
Banner • 1 banner per campaign group • Maximum dimension of 3m x 2m • Include soft copy of design in campaign proposal • Paint only after it is approved • Paint in BPA/Amphitheatre only • Put newspaper under canvas
Posters • As many designs as you want • Max. 10 per group (A4 size) • Include your design in the campaign proposal • Must be approved and stamped • Must be put in a plastic sheet and hung up with twine • Strictly no using of scotch tape or blue-tac • Put in appropriate places!
Gimmicks • Publicity stunts for your voters to remember you by! • Only your own faculty votes for you • Highly recommended to only give gimmicks to your own faculty • Include your idea for gimmicks in the campaign proposal • All forms of gimmicks/performances must be approved by the 36th Students’ Council • Please avoid spending too much on gimmicks
Video • Include video ideas in proposal • Subject to approval by Council and School Management • IMPORTANT: Please adhere to all school rules in the video • Fac/HC Shirt must be tucked in • Worn with school shorts/pants/skirts • No obscene or explicit content etc.
Introduction of Nominee • Held on 04/04/11 in your Faculties • Nominee to make Introductory Speech of no more than 1 minute • Each election group to present a group item of a collective time of 2 minutes per person

Question and Answer • Held on 05/04/11 • All nominees will go onstage to answer questions posted by • Faculty • Councilors
Voting • Will proceed right after Q&A • Each student will get 10 votes • Nominees are allowed to vote too • Election results will be out on the evening of 05/04/11
Announcement of Results • Results will be released over PA system • All nominees must stay back in school and wait for announcement • Those who are elected are required to stay back for a traditional banner painting session • Council Camp will be on 8-10 April
Deposit • Each person who has successfully signed up will hand in a mandatory $10 deposit • In the event whereby any campaigning rules are broken, the $10 will be confiscated by Council • If all rules are adhered to, deposit will be returned by the end of Q&A
Approval of Proposals • Send write-up of your campaign to 37th Student’s Council by 09/03/11 • Soft copy • Start brainstorming about ideas • Template will be sent out right after Exposé 2 (04/03/11)
Approval of Items • Bring your items for campaigning down to school for Council to vet on 14/03/11 and 15/03/11 • Banners, Posters (for school stamp) • Gimmicks • IoN Video
