NOF-Digi background • Content meets Technical Standards supported by UKOLN/AHDS, tested by BECTa • Live sites under construction by March 03 - content completed by end 04 • Links to Peoples Network (PN) in public libraries; National Grid for Learning (NGfL) in schools; Learn Direct; CALL learning centres and UK Online

EnrichUK portal - Aims • One-stop content showcase for 150 project ‘collections’ and related sites • Enables collection-level search of whole programme crossing organisation, sector and geographic boundaries • Aims to benefit informal learners in particular • Provides access to quality content meeting standards for item level metadata and web design

Promoting & delivering EnrichUK • EnrichUK.net launched on 12 March 2003 • Plus 150 Individual project launches throughout UK - up to 2004 • Promoted through PN in libraries, NGfL in schools, UKOnline… • Marketing promotions in lottery-funded schools, libraries, colleges, CALL IT centres, Healthy Living Centres (HLCs)

  20. Response so far.. • Web usage stats - hits and time spent……… • When can other (non-lottery funded) sites be linked to EnrichUK? • Currently collection level only - will search be extended to item-level? • Will more funding be available – Lottery? Culture Online?
