  3. Ministering means intervening We want to identify problems, evaluate options, resources and ideas and help people develop a scriptural plan to solve problems.

  4. Ministering means restoration We want to assist people in growing past and through problems so they can serve the body of Christ

  5. Ministering isn’t psychology! • Endless talking – your feelings, the past • The therapist must never suggest anything or tell patient what to do • The Bible urges a completely different approach!

  6. Basic First Aid for People in Crisis • Make contact • Explore the dimensions of the problem • Explore possible solutions • Assist in taking concrete action • Follow-up
